What is breathwork?

A type of meditation that uses the breath in different patterns. This is great for people who struggle to meditate, as you can focus on breathing.

What can breathwork be used for?

The amazing thing about breathwork is it is multifunctional. Its main uses are for transformation and relaxation. Breathwork is also good for moving stuck energy within the body.

What are the benefits of breathwork?

The most common benefits are:

-Reducing stress and anxiety

-Connecting to and changing emotions

-Reducing toxins in your body

-Grounding into your body

-Releasing energies that are not serving you

-Helping to have more energy

-Creating mental clarity

-Helping to connect with your intuition, higher self, and source energy

I have personally found it to be very helpful in managing migraines as well.

Can anyone do breathwork?

Yes and no.

The only requirement for breathwork is breathing. However, it is not recommended for everyone. People with health conditions such as high blood pressure, depression, kidney disease, heart disease, chronic panic attacks, and asthma should consult with a doctor before being a practice. Breathwork is also not recommended for pregnant women; it is safe while breastfeeding.

Can children do breathwork?

Absolutely! Children can safely practice breathwork as long as there are no health concerns (or with a physician's consent) just like adults. While the choice is ultimately up to the child’s parent or caregiver shorter and/or gentler sessions are recommended.
